It’s an exciting year of motorsport in prospect for Ford fans as Supercars’ juggernaut team Triple Eight Race Engineering returns to the Ford fold, and Ford prepares to roll out the new one-make Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia Series.

On February 7, Triple Eight will take the wraps off its new Red Bull Ampol Racing Mustang Supercars at a special 'Ignition On' event on the Geelong Foreshore. Along with the unveiling of the new Triple Eight Mustang Supercars team will be the Mustang Dark Horse R that has travelled the country in the past 12 months promoting the new one-make Mustang racing series. It’s resplendent in all-new blue oval treatment livery (above, below), including the famous Mustang on its flanks and Mustang Cup Australia category partners.

In attendance will be Red Bull Ampol Racing's lead drivers Will Brown and Broc Feeney, and enduro co-drivers Scott Pye and Nick Percat, plus team principal and seven-time Supercars champion Jamie Whincup.

The Ignition On event starts at 9:30am; the Red Bull Ampol Mustang unveiling will take place at 11am. There’ll be a signing session for fans from 12-1pm.
