Headed by Adam Bressington, who is probably better known to motorsport fans as a front running driver in the Touring Car Masters Series, their history dates way back to the 1960s when Adam’s father, Bill Bressington, began importing specialist automotive parts to sell on the local market.

A true entrepreneur, Bill was always on the lookout for new ways to grow the business, keeping a close watch on the market and observing what car enthusiasts and racers were doing with their aftermarket modifications and racing preparation – to make sure he was offering the products they needed.

Local car manufacturing boomed in the early ‘70s feeding a need for specialised parts.

In the early '70s, as Australia's 'Big Three' auto manufacturers raced to develop high performance cars for the all-important Mount Panorama endurance race, Bill recognised an opportunity. He expanded the business to supply engine components and performance parts for these locally built cars.

Adam’s own motorsport activities keep him in touch with all the technical advances and trends in the racing scene. Competition Products has supported pretty much everyone in motorsport from supercar racing teams to drag racers.
