It began in 2005 as the Australian Muscle Car Masters, an annual August/September festival of homegrown high performance combined with race weekend, and over time has evolved to become the Sydney MasterBlast.
Once again the Sydney MasterBlast will showcase a feast of historic touring cars and sports cars, with races for Group N (pre-1972) Touring Cars, Heritage Touring Cars (combining the Group C era from 1973-’84 with the international Group A format which followed from 1985-’92), plus Group S historic sports cars (pre-1978 production sports cars).

Complementing the historic categories will be modern day Sports Sedans for the third round of the Precision Sports Sedan Series, along with the final race weekend for this year’s Toyota 86 Racing Australia Scholarship Series. There’s also the Australian Prototype Series and Superkarts.
On the Saturday night, the brand-new Sydney Hillclimb takes on the Amaroo South Circuit hills, under lights, and on the main straight of the full circuit, Tuned International is bringing back its best cars for a huge Monster Meet.

Accommodation is available at nearby hotels, or camp out at SMSP’s final turn for the best view in the house. Park-N-View also returns this year: this ticket allows you to pull up anywhere along the north-east of the precinct, and gas BBQs and cookers are allowed.
