It’s interesting the number of today’s muscle car fans who admit that their fascination with fast, powerful machinery began at the age of nine or 10 by seeing a stunt team performing at the local show.

For many of them, this would probably mean the Holden Precision Driving Team, as featured in AMC #38.

In that story, team manager Lloyd Robertson pointed out that the HPDT wasn’t a stunt team in the strictest sense because they never crashed their cars – at least, not on purpose. Their show was more a demonstration of precision driving skills in showroom V8 Monaros and Commodores.
