Under the heading ‘More Valiants are bought internationally than any other American car’ is a car that bears little resemblance to the Chrysler Valiants we were used to seeing here.
The fine print reveals that the model shown is the 1967 Plymouth Valiant, as they were called in the States. The advertising agency must have been unaware that Australians already had our own Valiants, made in Adelaide, and didn’t need to import a LHD one from America.
Besides, we reckon the Aussie made Vals looked way better.
