1975 Tasman Series

Chris Amon was the only international F1 star to contest the 1975 Tasman Series. This is the Levin opener.

Johnny Walker (#7) put himself into championship contention by winning at Surfers Paradise.

Graeme Lawrence won the penultimate round at Adelaide International Raceway to join Brown and Walker atop the points table heading into the Sandown finale.

John Walker went to the final round at Sandown tied on championship points for the lead with Lawrence and Brown. 

Lawrence got the better of Brown at Adelaide after Brown's tyres went off - setting the scene for a three-way fight for the title at Sandown.

On the opening lap at Sandown John Walker had the world’s biggest accident -which  incredibly left him with only concussion and bruising. 

Walker's crash and the retirement of Lawrence in the final round meant the title was Brown's.
