The late Mike Raymond was the voice of the Bathurst 1000 from the 1980s through to the mid ‘90s. His son, Andy Raymond, was part of the Seven touring car racing telecast in the early ’90s before he went on to become a rugby league commentator.

Now, as part of Repco’s celebrations of the 60th running of The Great Race at Bathurst, Andy has jumped back behind the motorsport microphone to preview the 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 – but in the unique ‘get your backside trackside’ trademark style of his famous father.

If Mike was still with us today, his Channel Seven preview of this year’s Great Race would go something like this.

And as race fans look towards Mount Panorama with the 2023 event fast approaching, BATHURST: The Great Race magazine has got it covered. Grab a copy now at your local newsagent or visit https://www.mymagazines.com.au/item/bathurst---the-great-race-2023 to get a copy delivered to your door!
