First there was Ford v Ferrari. Now for Australian audiences, there is Ford v Holden.

As the name suggests, this new film delves into Australia’s unique muscle car history and the fierce rivalry between the two marques that began the in ‘60s and continues today even in the absence of Holden.

To tell the story, the film features rare archival footage and interviews with racing drivers, motoring and motorsport historians, as well as former employees of Ford and Holden.

It’s narrated by Shane Jacobson, star of the hit Australian comedy movie Kenny and the Top Gear Australia series, and is produced by Veronica Fury, who earned a nomination for the acclaimed documentary, Brock: Over the Top.

It’s being released by Universal and will screen in cinemas across Australia from October 19. It will also soon be available to purchase as a DVD/Blu-Ray release.
