Mal Wood Automotive hits the half-tonne

Mal Wood Automotive will celebrate 50 years in business with a day out at Morgan Park Raceway later this year. Previous customers who’ve had work done on their cars at Mal Wood are invited to join in the festivities.

Fifty years in operation – that’s impressive longevity for any small business. Especially when the founder of the company is still running it.

But Mal Wood Automotive isn’t your average small automotive shop – it is that, yes, but it’s also a leader in the design and manufacture of aftermarket manual transmission components for muscle cars not just here in Australian but also in the USA.

To mark its 50^th year, Mal Wood Automotive has booked Morgan Park Raceway on July 18 for an entire day of festivities. There’ll be a Show ’n’ Shine, plenty of track action, with guest judges and some great prizes. There’ll also be live music – featuring the ‘Mal Wood Band’… Yes, that’s right, and no, the band leader is a different Mal Wood – no relation!

There’ll be representatives from TREMEC in the USA attending – Mal Wood Automotive is Australia’s only Elite Distributor for TREMEC transmissions; TREMEC sales, service and conversion work is Mal Wood Automotive’s specialty.

The team at Mal Wood Automotive would love to hear from any previous customers who’ve had work done on their cars by the company that may want to participate in the Show ’n’ Shine and the track cruise.
