1987 Calder 500

There’s never been an Australian touring car race like it – before or since. Round nine of the 1987 World Touring Car Championship was run at Calder Park’s 4.1km combined oval and road circuit which paired flat-as-a-pancake (save for the man-made ‘Mt Jane’) road racing layout with 95 percent of the Thunderdome oval.
